It's funny how people think that we can't hear them through their door. We can. Especially when the door isn't closed. We went by to see Xavier, one of our investigators that we had just met this week. His brother answered the door, and then went to go get Xavier. We heard him tell his brother to tell us that he was in the shower. Needless to say we dropped him. But, we ended up teaching his brother the Restoration, so we still might see Xavier again if we continue to teach his brother.
We are teaching a lady named Bertha. She is the cutest little Mexican woman! She takes care of her mother full-time, because her mother had a stroke and half of her body is paralyzed. Her Dad was a member of the church, but her parents got divorced when she was young so she never went to church with him or got baptized. She has had a lot of very spiritual experiences throughout her life, and wants to know more about the church and what she needs to do to get baptized! I have a feeling she will continue to progress, as long as she can read the Book of Mormon. She told us that she tried to start reading it several times, but kept falling asleep as she was reading. I understand what that's like though—it has definitely happened to me before. It is hard to read when you're tired.
Have a great week!
