February...what?

This week there were a lot of ups and downs with the weather. For a few days it was so nice that I didn't bring a jacket with me. Then yesterday, it was freezing cold and raining, and there were flurries of snow mixed with the rain. Not at all what I expected when coming to California! But it turned out to be a tender mercy—we were knocking on this lady's door, and she was busy cooking dinner but she let us inside because she felt sorry for us being outside in the cold and rain. We got to teach her and her son the Restoration, and she is interested in reading the Book of Mormon!

Other than that we've had a great week! We still visit Richard every week to re-teach him the missionary discussions and to read the Book of Mormon with him. He is such a funny old man! He is loving the Book of Mormon! We read the first three chapters of 1 Nephi with him and asked him to keep reading on his own throughout the week. He told us he would, because he was so anxious to know what happens next, then he flipped through the whole book with his finger and told us that he might just read the whole thing! It was pretty great :)

I love being a missionary of the Lord! And I love all of you!
